GCVA Beach is offering the first National Team for beach players in Houston. This program is designed to help players that are focused on playing beach volleyball in college. The GCVA Beach National Team is a squad based program (collegiate duals style) where players compete as a team against the best beach clubs in the nation.
GCVA Beach National Teams will compete in the BVCA Club vs Club tournaments all over the country in the Spring and Summer. Travel is NOT mandatory but highly encouraged. Players are able to compete in both indoor club and on the GCVA Beach National Team but there will most likely be conflicts with indoor club schedules for tournaments (again, travel is NOT mandatory). There will be a "sign up sheet" for each BVCA tournament and players will indicate which tournaments they can attend and which ones they can't. Coaches will match players with partners for each BVCA tournament.

Tryouts are for players 9th - 12th grade that have a strong desire to play beach volleyball competitively. 7th & 8th graders with considerable beach volleyball experience will be considered for spots at tryouts. If interested, register for tryouts here on this page. This is the intial tryout and players can tryout anytime throughout the season. If accepted on the National Team, your tryout fee will be credited towards your National Beach Team deposit. A deposit will be required for all players that accept a spot on the GCVA Beach National Team.
The season starts September 5th and ends in late July. GCVA Beach National Team is broken down into 3 sessions (Fall 2021, Spring 2022 & Summer 2022) with payments due at the beginning of each session. Fall Session is training based with 3 practices per week (we work around school season). Spring and Summer Sessions are competition based with 2 practices per week and competition in the BVCA club challenge. Players that make the GCVA Beach National Team do not have to tryout for each session. Any player that wishes to join late will have a one on one tryout, fees will be prorated.
Schedule for BVCA and GCVA tournaments will be available later in 2021.

BVCA Tournament Entry Fees & Travel: Players will be responsible to cover the tournament fees and travel for each BVCA tournament they attend.
