GCVA Club Tryouts

Your Volleyball Club on the Other Coast
The GCVA was established in 1992. We are a competitive, reasonably priced volleyball club
right in the heart of CLC which have some of the highest ranked teams in the region in several age groups.

12u/13u You are trying out for a position in the club.  Team Asignments will be done in late August once all the spots are filled.  All offers to join the club are made the night of tryouts.

ALL TRYOUTS ARE AT : CLCCA RECREATION CENTER 16511 DIANA LN. HOUSTON, TX 77062.  Corner of Ramada and Diana in the heart of CLC) 

Practice Gym's for 2025-2026

We will be using CLCCA REC CENTER plus at least ONE CCISD GYM  practice gym this season. Locations can change or we can add gyms depending in CCISD request. I expect we will have Westbrook and or Springs for 25/26 season.

Projected Teams for 2025-2026

The number of teams depends on tryouts and gym time - We normally try to fill 10-12 club teams and 8 little spiker teams (2 little spiker sessions) -

• Travel Teams: Teams that participate In State, and in State and or Out of State National Championship.
• Regional Teams: Teams that participate in Houston with a few In State tournaments.
• Local Teams: Teams that participate in Houston based tournaments only.

• $50  
• We will not take any walk up registrations, you have to register online.  
• This fee is separate from the overall payment for the club. This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

DEPOSITS

• PAID UPON ACCEPTANCE
• DEPOSITS   Deposits are non Refundable  unless...  A team does not make or the due to circumstances where we have to cancel the season before we start (such as something like COVID, some type of emerengcy) 

2025-2026 PRICING

There is a $400 - $700  non-refundable deposit that is due upon the offer and acceptance of a position on a club team. This is considered your first installment towards your 2025-2026 team fees. The remaining balance can be paid monthly or in full. Monthly payments will begin in September and continue through April. Payments made in full during the tryout period will receive a $100 discount. Returning indoor club players receive a $200 discount

• We will collect the required deposit (See Fee Schedule) when you accept a position on a team. You do not have a spot unless you pay the deposit.  
• At the end of Tryouts we will accept deposits by check or you can pay online.  
• By accepting your spot on one of our teams, you are taking away that position for someone else. Please be aware that once you accept and pay the deposit you are required to pay all fees.
• USAV Membership FEE is not included in Deposit. USAV Memberships were $50 in 2024.  Parents have to register their player online for USA Volleyball. We sill send out e-mail with a registration link once registration is open.  

What to Bring

• Dress athletically for normal volleyball play. 
• No Outside Food or Drinks - personal water bottles acceptable. 
• Deposit (only collected if position is offered after tryouts. NON REFUNDABLE ONCE ACCEPTED) 
• If you have hand sanatizer please bring you a personal bottle, there will be hand stations at the gym
• Player/Parent agreement and waver due once you accept position.
• There will be no walk up registrations, you must register online.
