GCVA Little Spikers Volleyball Program

GCVA Little Spikers is our Developmental Program is perfect for players 8 through 12 years old (6th grade and below) who are looking to develop the necessary skills to one day enter club or school volleyball. There are no try-outs for Little Spikers so every player who signs up makes a team. Each player will be evaluated and placed onto teams of similar abilities and ages.

Every team will have an assigned coach who will conduct practices to include skills training and team strategies. Practices are held once a week with a total of 3 tournaments each season.

Practices will be on Tuesday (5th & 6th graders only) or Thursday (4th grade and below, or 5th if never played) from 5:30- 7:00pm at the CLCCA Recreation Center (16511 Diana Ln, Houston, TX 77062)  (Subject to change).

Session #1 The 1st session will start the week of Sept 16 2024 and run through the week of December 9th 2024 - We follow Normal CCISD Holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas along with October 31 Thursday/Halloween

Session 2 The 2nd session will run from the week of January 6, 2025 thru the week of March 31, 2025 - Players will be off one week for Spring Break (we follow CCISD Schedule since we use their gyms)

Cost is $445 per session

*$200 deposit is due at sign up for each session

*Payments due on October 1, 2024 ($125) and November 1, 2024 ($120) 

*Payments for Session 2 - January 1, 2025 ($125) and February 1, 2025 ($120)

FEES INCLUDE:

Jersey, Shorts,  Back pack  Practice T-Shirt,  Gym rental, Equipment, Paid coaches, Tournament entry fees, Pizza party

Players will be grouped by age, ability, and experience.  

Tournaments will be on the weekends.

Players will participate in 2 tournaments/matches and 1 team scrimmage each session.

REGISTER EARLY, WE WERE 100% FULL EVERY SESSION LAST SEASON....

As far as attire for practice, please have your player wear their practice shirt to each practice. I would ask that you get your player kneepads, if possible. As far as volleyball shoes go, that is optional. At this point, tennis shoes work just fine.  If you need extra practice TEE's please see Coach Robyn. They should be available at the first practice.
