Skills &

- We want to help prepare
you for your school and or club volleyball season so the GCVA Volleyball Camps are
full of fun-filled volleyball training right in the Clear Lake Area.
Under the direction of GCVA coaches the GCVA Volleyball Camps provide campers
with individual skills development. We group players according to age,
ability, and level of volleyball experience. This result is the best
environment for player improvement. We will also evaluate each camper for
club try-outs and let them know what team we think should be on (Based on GCVA
Club teams). You can also use this
camp for our GCVA JUNIORS club evaluation. This Camp can be used for early evaluations/tryouts. Team assignment may not be offered, but
acceptance in the club can be offered.
Developmental Camp: The GCVA Developmental camp is an 8 hour camp designed
to introduce new players to the sport of Volleyball. The GCVA has some of the
best player developmental camps
Boot Camps
(High School and Int.): We
developed the boot camps to be like a High School or Intermediate School
Tryout. Other camps are now trying
to copy us but we have perfected this type of camp. The players are told what to expect at the School tryouts.
They go through the workout/drills etc. to see what to expect. They are also taught individual skill
development, strength and position training. We have some of the best position coaches in the State of
Texas. Our coaches will help the
players to become better at their position. They will point out what they are
doing right and wrong. What Intermediate School/High School/College coaches are
looking for etc? Our video capture/playback will actually show the player what
the coach sees.
Position Camp: We
have some of the best position coaches in TEXAS – Our coaches know positions
extremely well. This is a small camp with a lot of focus/personal attention
given to every player
Multiple camp discounts: If signing up for
multiple camps $20 discount on your 2nd camp, $25 discount on your 3rd
camp.
Camp Location: Clear Lake Rec Center is
at 16511 Diana Lane; Houston, TX 77062 (corner of Diana and Ramada) in Clear Lake
City. Take I45 to Bay Area Blvd
East. Turn left on Diana. The rec.
center is on the right past the court house. The CLC rec center is very nice
with locker rooms, indoor pool etc. and new “sport court” volleyball courts.
All campers get two (2) free
Camp T-shirts. Awards
will also be given to select campers for various skill categories at all camps.
